The Pastors at Marco Presbyterian Church

The Rev. Bill Lyle is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and has a B.A. in Political Science. He is currently working on his Doctorate.

Rev. Lyle and his wife, Rachel were married in 1989. They have two children, Hannah and Joshua.

While attending college, Rev. Lyle served as Assistant to the Youth Minister under Donald Hoke at his home church. In 1986, he entered Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. While attending seminary, he served as Pastoral Intern under Dr. Cortez Cooper at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama. He received his Masters of Divinity in 1990.

Following seminary, Rev. Lyle was called to be Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Gulfport, Mississippi. Soon after his arrival, the Senior Pastor resigned and he became Interim Senior Pastor for most of his two and a half years at the church.

In the fall of 1992, Rev. Lyle began serving as the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Under his leadership, church attendance grew substantially and initiated several different outreach programs, fellowships, and Bible studies. One of which was Good News at Noon – a Bible study with the State government, staff from the Governors’ office, State courts, and legislative body attending. This continues in downtown Montgomery.

In 1999, Christ Church in Jacksonville Florida called Rev. Lyle as Senior Pastor. While there, he focused the church on outreach, local and foreign missions, and became a leader on short-term trips to a \\\"closed country.\\\"

Rev. Lyle was called to Parkview Church in Lilburn, Georgia, as Senior Pastor in 2003. Since then, the church’s mission program has grown 10-fold. Last year, they sent 12 short-term teams to various places around the world. Outreach and equipping the members for Gospel work was the hallmark of his ministry work at Parkview Church.

Rev. Lyle is recognized as a part-time missionary with East West Ministries and is actively involved in church planting in a \\\"closed country.\\\"

He enjoys fishing, sand, surf, and sun. He plays “at” golf, but really loves the fellowship on the golf course. Both Rev. Lyle and Rachel have a heart for missions, a love for God and a desire to serve His people.

Jonathan Loerop was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is the younger of two brothers and grew up in Delray Beach, Florida. Jonathan became a Christian at 19 and received the call to ministry while attending Florida Atlantic University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in 1999. He attended Knox Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2003. He met his wife Jessica Hughey (another Native Floridian) at church. They were married in 2003.

Jonathan enjoys surfing, skateboarding, art, and talking about the Lord. His ministerial experience includes: First Priority an outreach to a public high school where he led a morning Bible study; Outreach Coordinator with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship; as well as a \\\"Coffee House\\\" ministry. Jonathan began his service as Youth and Children\\\'s Director of MPC in September 2003. He was ordained installed as the Assistant Pastor to Youth and Children on November 14, 2004.
